Frequently asked questions

What is Business in Hawaii (BinHi)?

Business in Hawaii (BinHi) is a business networking organization dedicated to fostering strong professional relationships and driving local economic growth. Members support and uplift each other through referrals, collaboration, and shared opportunities.

Who can join BinHi?

Membership is open to professionals and business owners in Hawaii. However, there is industry exclusivity, meaning only one representative per industry is allowed to avoid conflicts of interest.

What are the membership requirements?

Members must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a valid license (if required by their industry).

  • Commit to attending meetings (missing four consecutive meetings without notice may result in forfeiture of membership).

  • Actively participate in networking activities and one-on-one meetings with other members.

  • Provide at least one referral or invite a guest to a meeting each month.

  • Undergo a six-month membership review with leadership.

How much does membership cost?

New members pay for their first six months upfront. Membership renews annually on June 1. New members' dues are prorated to align with this date. Membership fees are non-refundable, and late payments require a $150 reinstatement fee.

What happens if I miss meetings?

Consistent attendance is expected. Members who miss four or more consecutive meetings without prior notification risk losing their membership.
